The Tradestamp Customer Charter


What is the Purpose of this Customer Charter?

All businesses that register on Tradestamp are obliged to comply with the contents of our Customer Charter. By signing up to our Service Provider Terms and Conditions and Approved Service Provider Contract, you are also agreeing to comply with the conditions set out in this charter.

We have developed this Charter to ensure that all service providers using the Tradestamp website and affiliated sites agree to and conform to a code of conduct when dealing with customers using our sites. We will take immediate appropriate action against any Service Provider who is found to be have breached any part of this charter, including, the suspension of their Tradestamp account, without prior notice. We will also assess compliance with the conditions set out in this charter when assessing any complaint brought against a service provider using Tradestamp or any of our affiliated websites. 

All Tradestamp Approved Service Providers Promise:

  1. To act in a fair, honest and courteous way in all dealings with customers
  2. To carry out all work sourced through Tradestamp and our affiliated websites in a professional manner at all times.
  3. To apply best practice in all dealings with customers
  4. To contact customers only in relation to their specific service requirements.
  5. To respond only to service requirements that they are properly qualified and able to deliver.
  6. To provide clear quotes to customers with no hidden charges and to stick to them wherever possible.
  7. In circumstances in which additional charges may be payable, to ensure that the customer understands this fully before proceeding.
  8. Not to pass on customer details to any third party who is not registered on Tradestamp without the explicit consent of Tradestamp and of the customer.
  9. To provide goods and services at the agreed time, to arrive at any appointments promptly and to give good notice to customers in the case of delays or difficulties.
  10. To carry appropriate public and product liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance, where appropriate.
  11. To comply with applicable health and safety procedures
  12. To register for VAT when appropriate and to submit proper VAT invoices to clients
  13. To respect customers' privacy and personal information.
  14. To provide appropriate identification when visiting customers' premises.
  15. To keep Tradestamp registration details up-to-date at all times, including, but not limited to, changes in address and contact details, insurance policy renewal date, staff accreditation and qualification details.
  16. To encourage customers to provide feedback to Tradestamp once they have delivered a service sourced through the website.
  17. To ensure that they understand the customer service requirements fully prior to providing a quote for the delivery of a service and carrying out any work on behalf of the customer.
